How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    College Office Manager
    Location: Wymondham
    Salary: SCP 23 – 28 £36,525 - £41,541 per annum
    Vacancy Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, plus 24 Saturdays 08:00-12:00 52 weeks
    Wymondham College has over 400 staff dedicated to supporting World Class education.     The College is focused on providing outstanding quality to their students and staff not only in education but also through its provision of exceptional facilities and accommodation on site across its 83-acre campus.
    The College Office sits at the heart of the College, with the team playing an essential role in the to the day-to-day operations of Wymondham College. Leading this vital team is the College Office Manager.
    Reporting to the Head of Operations, the College Office Manager will lead, manage and develop the Administration team, ensuring that the College Office operates as a highly effective, professional and responsive service. role requires a confident and visible leader who can influence, motivate and support staff, manage competing priorities, and work collaboratively with senior leaders, teaching staff and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping administrative practice across the College and embedding high standards of professionalism, accountability and continuous improvement.
    This role is ideally suited to an experienced administrator with proven leadership experience, who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is confident managing people, processes and change.
    Person Specification

    The qualifications and experience required of a College Office Manager are:
    * A good level of literacy and numeracy;
    * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in administration;
    * Level 3 or equivalent in Leadership and Management;
    * Experience leading and managing a team;
    * Have exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office procedures;
    * Experience in education would be desirable.
