Working on a VMware estate with a footprint of approximately 400 ESXi hosts and 4,500 VMs
€80k-€95k/Year + Statuatory Pension + Annual Leave
Your Responsabilities:
Management of server virtualisation infrastructure
Patching and upgrading of virtualisation infrastructure
Design and expansion of virtualisation clusters
Responding to and fixing calls escalated within OLA / SLA
Auditing and reporting, as required
Creation and maintenance of documentation, as necessary
DR (Live Site Recovery) configuration and execution
VMware Tools management
Monitoring of the estate using Aria Suite
1VMware appliance deployment, configuration and management
Your Experience:
Excellent knowledge of VMware vSphere 8.0 or later and VMware Site
Live Site Recovery
Good knowledge of Scripting, preferably PowerShell
Familiar with Photon OS and vCLI
Solid experience of troubleshooting in a VMware environment
Knowledge of Dell Servers (tower, rack & VRTX), Open Manage Essentials
Experience of Hypervisor Server Performance Monitoring
In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure Hardware and Software Technologies
Excellent knowledge of Infrastructure Hardware and Software best practices
Virtualization platform security knowledge (ESXi hardening, VM shell configuration)
Experience with vSAN technology and standard array mapped datastores
Some Understanding of networking (NSX, ipv4, vDS, VLANS)
Working Knowledge of Active Directory and core domain services (incl. Wins, DNS, DHCP)
Exposure to Aria Suite (Aria Operations, Aria Lifecycle Manager, Aria Automation)
