How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project / Lifecycle Manager
    Reading – On site
    £65-£80k

If you know how to bring structure, control and commercial focus to complex project works, this could be a very strong next move.

We are supporting the search for a Project / Lifecycle Manager to oversee variations, lifecycle works and project delivery within a healthcare PFI environment. This is a key role sitting across engineering, compliance, FM operations and commercial delivery, with responsibility for making sure works are managed safely, properly and in line with contractual and governance requirements.

The role includes managing additional works from request through to handover, coordinating design and approvals, procuring and managing subcontractors, reviewing RAMS, overseeing budgets and reporting, and making sure lifecycle works align with approved models and estate priorities. It also has a strong commercial element, including cost control, fund monitoring, forecasting, invoicing and lifecycle financial governance.

We are keen to hear from candidates with proven experience in project management and lifecycle planning within building services or estates, ideally with exposure to PFI / PPP environments. Experience in healthcare would be especially attractive, particularly where this includes knowledge of HTMs, statutory compliance, contractor management and high-risk works.

You will likely bring a recognised mechanical or building services qualification, strong knowledge of CDM and health and safety practice, and the confidence to deal with senior stakeholders while keeping projects commercially and operationally on track.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technical delivery, lifecycle strategy and financial control, and wants a role where those skills genuinely matter.
