How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Managing supplier accounts, including statement reconciliation and query resolution
Handling invoice-related queries from suppliers and internal teams within agreed SLAs
Proactively identifying and resolving payment risks, including overdue accounts
Supporting continuous improvement of invoicing and P2P processes
Maintaining strong working relationships with requisitioners and suppliers
Using reporting tools to improve invoice processing efficiency and accuracy
Providing cross-team support, especially to the purchasing function and contributing to wider team objectives
Base location: Hybrid - Clearwater Court, Reading, with occasional travel to other sites as required.

Working pattern: 36 Hours, Monday to Friday

What you should bring to the role

Strong Excel skills (e.g. formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication skills (email, phone, and face-to-face)
A proactive, solution-focused approach to resolving issues
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Highly organised with a strong customer service mindset Desirable:

Experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable or Purchase to Pay
Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
Understanding of VAT and invoicing compliance (HMRC)

    What’s in it for you?

Competitive salary up to £36,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Annual Leave - 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)
Performance-related pay plan directly linked to company performance measures and targets
