About the Role:
We are currently seeking several experienced and reliable TUG RORO Drivers to join our client based in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and cargo within the port/industrial site using a RORO (Roll-on/Roll-off) tug vehicle. You will be responsible for transporting trailers, containers, and vehicles in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate TUG vehicles to move trailers, containers, and vehicles within the port / terminal area.
Ensure the safe and efficient loading / unloading of cargo in a timely manner.
Perform daily safety checks on the TUG vehicle and report any faults or maintenance issues.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
Communicate effectively with port / yard staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain accurate logs of work completed and equipment usage.
Assist with any other yard operations as required.Requirements:
Valid UK driving license ideally with a TUG Masters License
Previous experience operating TUG vehicles, or similar heavy equipment, is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a port/industrial environment.
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well with colleagues.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Benefits:
