How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Responsibilities:
    * Optimise assembly processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste and enhance overall production output

    * Analyse and reduce cycle times whilst maintaining 99.99% quality standards consistently
    * Support lifecycle manufacturing activities from design through to production
    * Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve manufacturing challenges
    * Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives across production operations
    * Collaborate with engineering, supply chain and production teams on continuous improvement projects
    * Contribute to ongoing process improvements and operational excellence
    Who They’re Looking For:
    * Proven manufacturing engineering experience in electromechanical assembly environments
    * Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and root cause analysis methodologies
    * Demonstrated experience optimising assembly lines and manufacturing processes
    * Mechanical bias with electronic exposure and knowledge of electromechanical assemblies
    * Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
    * CAD knowledge (SolidWorks or Inventor preferred)
    * Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within teams
    * Proactive approach with hands-on problem-solving mindset
    Benefits
    * 5% annual bonus on target
    * 26 days holiday, increasing to 29 days with length of service
    * Excellent pension scheme matching contributions up to 10% of pensionable salary
    * Flexible benefits tailored to personal needs
    * Flexible working policy with core hours and half days on Fridays
    * Investment in your professional development and support for professional institution memberships
If you are a Manufacturing Engineer with a proven ability to optimise assembly processes and a passion for continuous improvement, we would love to hear from you
