How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Quantity Surveyor

    Lincoln

    Permanent

    £50,000 - £70,000 Plus package + Car allowance

    TSR Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a regional main contractor based and operating in Lincolnshire. Due to increase in workload and planned growth, this well-established main contractor is looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to its established commercial team. Projects will include new build and refurbishment projects across a variety of sectors such as education, commercial, accommodation and local government buildings.

    This role will come with assisting with managing of junior surveyors, assisting with development and guidance. A career progressing step for a aspiring Senior or established Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity in a flexible and secure business.

    The Role:

    Preparing, negotiating, and reviewing tender and contract cost submissions
    Tracking project commercial performance and providing updates to the commercial team
    Producing monthly valuations for completed works and coordinating payment applications
    Pricing, assessing, and managing project variations from start to completion
    Procuring subcontractors and securing competitive subcontract quotations
    Administering and managing subcontractor accounts, contracts, and payments
    Supporting and overseeing the final account process to optimise project financial outcomes
    Preparing and maintaining accurate project cash flow forecasts
    Participating in pre-start meetings and regular project progress meetings
    Providing guidance on contractual and legal matters to the project team
    The Person:

    Quantity Surveying degree or HND
    Experience in new build housing
    IT literate
    Strong communication skills
    Experience with JCT/NEC contracts
    Desire to manage people
