The Customer Technologist role presents a unique opportunity to work directly with major retail customers, supporting a diverse range of chilled food products. Customer Technologist Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with retail customers, ensuring alignment on product quality and food safety standards
* Act as the technical point of contact between the customer and the supplier, ensuring clear communication of expectations, specifications, and compliance requirements
* Ensure that all product documentation, technical data, and audit results are accurately communicated and maintained in line with customer requirements
* Work closely with internal teams to manage customer technical platforms, ensuring seamless communication around quality control, product development, and compliance
* Oversee the technical aspects of new product development (NPD), ensuring that customer specifications and quality standards are met
Customer Technologist Key Requirements
* Proven experience in the chilled food or food-related sectors, particularly in a customer-facing technical role
* Familiarity with chilled food supply chains and product requirements for major retailers
* Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and experience working with technical data
* Knowledge of food safety standards, auditing practices, HACCP principles, and new product development (NPD)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience using customer-facing technical platforms or ERP systems
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
