- Job title: Laboratory Coordinator

- Contract Length: 24 months
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week
- Pay Rate: £15.83 p/h
About the Role
This role involves leading and being responsible for essential laboratory and equipment maintenance activities as well as key reagent management and inventory. The role also involves coordinating the storage & inventory of incoming shipments, and managing outgoing shipments
Key Responsibilities:
Lab Co-ordinator Role
- Lab maintenance
- Responsible for Consumables and Reagents and ensuring restocking is complete
- Responsible for glass-washing and autoclaving consumables/reagents as required
- Responsible for Equipment maintenance (e.g. Supporting with water bath decons/defrosting/pipette calibration clinics)
- Representing CMB on the EDS Engineering meetings
- Hosting/liaising with engineers including supporting work permits
- Onboarding / retiring of equipment
Laboratory Administration
- Organising shipments incoming and outgoing shipments e.g. Customers, third party vendors, company development sites
- Shipment receipt (storing reagents and notifying relevant individuals)
- Document creation/assessments/reviews (COSHH/Risk Assessment, SOPs)
- OTi support
CMB representative/support
- EHS representative (responsible for CMB-specific safety documentation)
- Engineering representative (site meetings, hosting and liaising with engineers including completion of work permits
- CAPEX representative and support
- 6S representative and support
- JLL liaison (equipment moving, site issues, etc)
- Account manager relations/liaison
Key requirements:
- Degree required BSc
- Field of Study-Biology preferred
- Work Experience-Previous laboratory and technical experience gained during degree or gained during previous work experience
- Lab and equipment familiarity
- EHS (COSHH/Risk Assessment) knowledge/experience
