How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Regional Branch Manager – HGV
    Location: Bristol
    Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
    Job Type: Permanent

    The Opportunity
    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Branch Manager to lead a busy, fast-paced operation within the HGV sector. This role is ideal for a strong leader who can drive performance, manage teams effectively, and ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities of a Regional Branch Manager

    Oversee the day-to-day running of a regional branch operation
    Lead, motivate and develop a team to achieve performance targets
    Manage budgets, control costs, and maximise revenue opportunities
    Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered
    Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the branch
    Handle staffing matters, including performance management and development
    Maintain a strong commercial focus to support business growthWhat We’re Looking For in a Regional Branch Manager

    Proven experience in a management role within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
    Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
    Commercially aware with experience in budget control and revenue generation
    Confident decision-maker who can work independently and prioritise workloads
    Excellent communication skills at all levels
    Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
    IT literate and comfortable learning new systemsDesirable traits of a Regional Branch Manager

    Experience within the HGV, automotive, or service environment
    Knowledge of SAP systems
    Technical understanding of vehicles
