How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Time Served Electrician - Housing Services

    Department: Housing > HRA > Repairs & Maintenance

    Location: Flintshire

    Hours a Week: 37

    Time served Fully qualified electrician, able to produce a high standard of work in both tenanted and void properties and have experience within social housing.

    A wide knowledge base is essential and the candidate will need to have excellent testing and diagnostic skills and able to trace and rectify faults within domestic properties including repairs to various types of central heating systems

    Core Qualifications Required

    -Electrical Qualification (Essential)

    * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

    * Or City & Guilds 2360 / 2330 (Parts 1 & 2)

    -18th Edition Wiring Regulations

    * BS 7671 (18th Edition) certification required

    -Inspection & Testing (Highly Expected)

    * Competence in:

    * Electrical testing

    * Inspection

    * Fault diagnosis

    Experience Requirements

    -Social Housing / Domestic Experience

    * Experience working in:

    * Social housing environments

    * Domestic properties (tenanted & void)

    -Practical Skills

    * Strong:

    * Fault-finding and diagnostics

    * Repairs and maintenance

    * Rewiring and installations

    * Knowledge of:

    * Domestic electrical systems

    * Heating system electrics

    Additional Requirements

    -Time-Served Electrician

    * Must be fully qualified and experienced (not trainee level)

    -Health & Safety Knowledge

    * Understanding of:

    * Safe isolation procedures

    * Risk assessments (RAMS)

    * Compliance with regulations

    -Driving Licence

    * Full UK driving licence (usually required)
