Freight Customs Coordinator

Our client is a freight forwarding specialist who offers freight solutions by road, rail, sea and air through their many offices worldwide as well as through their solid network of agents and partners.
We are now looking for a Freight Customs Coordinator to join the team based at their Manchester office in Trafford Park.
Main responsibilities include
Providing an outstanding level of customer service to both internal & external clients
Completing both import and export declarations and other customs documentation using Descartes software
Handling multi modal freight
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of import and export customs declarations
Ensure correct payment of duty & VAT
Manage post clearance action
Experience
Ideally my client would like applying candidates to have 1-2 years experience in customs who they could further train
Experience from working for a freight forwarder in an customs freight role
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional IT skills
Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual
Strong organisational & time management skills
Package and Benefits
Salary £27,000 to £30,000
Hours are (Apply online only)hrs. Mainly office based, although limited opportunity for occasional WFH
25 days holiday
