Sous Chef

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our busy pub kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, freshly prepared dishes. This is a hands-on role in a relaxed but fast-paced environment, perfect for someone who enjoys classic pub food with a modern touch.

You’ll be working as part of a small, friendly team where everyone pitches in, and your input will be valued.

Responsibilities

* Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen

* Prepare and cook fresh, quality pub dishes to a consistent standard

* Ensure smooth service during busy periods

* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety

* Assist with stock control and ordering when required

* Contribute ideas for specials and menu improvements

Requirements

* Ideally 3+ years’ experience in a kitchen environment, however any previous experience will be taken into account

* Experience in pub or casual dining preferred

* Ability to stay organised and calm during busy service

* Strong team player with a good work ethic

* Must be able to drive due to limited public transport in the area
