Linkster are currently recruiting on behalf of a client, an esteemed company in the FMCG sector located in Foston Dove Valley Park (DE65). They are seeking to fill a Lab Technician position on a full-time and permanent basis.
Job Specification - Lab Technician
* Testing and analysing products to meet customer and industry standards.
* Controlling packaging adherence to specifications.
* Maintaining laboratory equipment and performing calibration audits.
* Conducting sensory analyses on finished products.
* Placing non-conforming products on hold as needed.
* Conducting environmental and effluent analysis.
* Upholding imlab peccable hygiene standards across all production areas.
* Collecting microbiological samples and preparing them in our on-site laboratory.
The ideal candidate
The successful applicant will have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role within a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or beverage laboratory sector. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, along with strong problem-solving skills, the capability to work autonomously, and a keen attention to detail.
The Benefits - Lab Technician
* Competitive salary package totalling £36,868.00 (comprising a basic salary of £29,494.40 p/a and a shift allowance of £7,373.60).
* Be available to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights) between Monday to Saturday (3-4 shifts per week with working hours 06:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00), averaging 40 hours per week. Sundays are off, and Saturday shifts are 6 hours long.
