Children's Occupational Therapist - Walsall
Rate: Up to £30 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office
Contract: Locum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Children's Occupational Therapist to join the Children's Team in Walsall. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled OT with strong paediatric experience and sound clinical reasoning to make a meaningful impact on children and families.

Key Responsibilities
Undertake assessments and reviews within the home environment
Provide professional advice, guidance, and signposting to appropriate services
Recommend, supply, and review standard and bespoke specialist equipment
Complete manual handling and risk assessments
Implement minor adaptations and contribute towards major adaptations via Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG)
Work collaboratively with partner organisations including the NHS, schools, local authorities, and Child Development Centres (CDC)
Support children with complex needs through tailored interventions
Requirements
Qualified Occupational Therapist with experience working within a Children's Team
Strong understanding of complex equipment and minor/major adaptations
Experience completing manual handling and risk assessments
Ability to demonstrate strong clinical reasoning skills
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
