The Role of the HGV Technician
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and professional engineering team maintaining a modern fleet of buses.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a structured, safety-focused environment where reliability and quality are key to keeping services running efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing as HGV Technician
Carrying out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on buses and coaches
Attending to the daily driver reported defects
Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical and electrical repair
Ensuring all work is completed to DVSA and company standards
Completing safety inspections and defect rectificatio
Supporting the wider engineering team to meet operational targets
What We’re Looking For from the HGV Technician
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
Experience working on HGV, PSV, or bus and coach vehicles
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
A proactive and safety-first approach
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
