How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Planning Consultant
    This is a key role for an experienced professional to provide project planning, project control, and retrospective delay analysis services across the full project lifecycle. You will work as a Senior Consultant in a planning and delay role, delivering high-level services across various sectors for a diverse client base.Key Responsibilities

    * Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and projects, ensuring high standards of delivery.

    * Team Leadership: Lead multi-disciplinary teams; review and report on all technical and commercial aspects of projects.

    * Mentorship: Act as a role model for the team, providing coaching, training, and performance management to develop the next generation of construction professionals.

    * Reporting & Advisory: Author, edit, and prepare detailed client reports. Review complex commercial situations and provide strategic advice to clients.

    * Strategic Support: Provide high-level support to colleagues and Directors to achieve business objectives.

    * Business Development: Support company business development initiatives, attend events, and promote your professional profile within industry institutions.

    Requirements

    * Experience: Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience with a solid background in both pre and post-contract project planning.

    * Education: Degree-educated in a relevant field.

    * Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6 software. Knowledge of MPS is also advantageous.

    * Delay Analysis: Proven experience in retrospective delay analysis is essential.

    * Sector Knowledge: Experience within the Civil Engineering, Building, Power, or Process sectors.

    * Contractual Knowledge: Proficiency with NEC and FIDIC suites of contracts.

    * Soft Skills: Well-developed client-facing skills, outstanding time management, and excellent report-writing abilities.
