How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    1:1 Teaching Assistant (Reception - ASD Support)
    Location: Notting Hill, London
    Start Date: ASAP

    We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in our Reception class from January.

    This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference at a crucial early stage of a child's learning and development, within a nurturing and supportive school environment in the heart of Notting Hill.

    The Role:

    Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception-aged child with ASD

    Support learning, communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction

    Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and interventions

    Encourage independence while ensuring the child feels safe, supported, and included

    Support with routines, transitions, and play-based learning activities

    The Ideal Candidate:

    Experience working with children with ASD or additional needs (school or nursery setting preferred)

    A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

    Strong communication and teamwork skills

    A genuine passion for supporting young children's development

    Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable but not essential
