The Role As Senior Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering fully integrated home-technology systems from post-cabling stage through to final sign-off. This includes detailed configuration, final-fix installation, commissioning, documentation, and collaborating closely with programmers and wider project teams.
You will be the technical lead onsite, ensuring seamless integration of AV, networking, security, lighting control and shading solutions—while representing the company with professionalism to clients, contractors and design partners.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of projects following the infrastructure phase and deliver fully functional systems to an exceptional standard
Carry out off-site configuration, testing and rack build where required
Final-fit installation of equipment across AV, lighting, shading, IT and security systems
Onsite programming/commissioning in cooperation with control-system programmers
Work collaboratively with main contractors, interior designers, architects and third-party technology partners
Maintain clear and accurate documentation and ensure timely progress updates
Complete snagging within agreed timeframes
Conduct smooth handovers to the service/support teams with full client and system information
Uphold the company’s reputation through excellent communication and client engagement Hours: 09:00–17:00 with paid overtime for additional work authorised by your line manager.
Experience & Technical Skills We’re looking for an engineer with strong experience in premium residential installation environments, ideally with the following capabilities:
Technical knowledge
Multi-room AV systems (audio and video distribution, home cinema)
IT networking (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, remote access and monitoring)
Lighting & shading control platforms (e.g., Lutron, Crestron, Control4, or equivalents)
CCTV, door entry and access-control solutions
Satellite/aerial and fibre-based systems
Familiarity with integrating third-party subsystems (e.g., BMS, HVAC controls) Experience working with:
Luxury-residential clients and representatives
Architects, interior designers, lighting designers
Main contractors and specialist subcontractors Soft skills & competencies
Strong communication and professional client interaction
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and proactively
Sound judgement and problem-solving ability
