Fox Morris Group are working to recruit a Planning Lawyer
We are looking for Planning Lawyer – up to maximum 30 hours per week.
Fully remote, however, attendance at Planning Committee is preferable where the candidate has relevant experience, but this is not essential.
Experience:
* Advisory Work: Advising clients on planning applications, development strategy, and regulatory compliance.
* Legal Documentation: Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing planning, highways, and statutory agreements.
* Appeals & Inquiries: Managing planning appeals, preparing proofs of evidence, and appearing at hearings.
* Contentious Work: Handling litigation, judicial reviews of planning decisions, and High Court challenges.
* Specialized Advising: Providing guidance on environmental impact assessments, conservation areas, and biodiversity net gain
* Legal Expertise: Qualified solicitor or barrister with a strong understanding of town and country planning legislation.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex planning policy and legal precedents.
* Negotiation: Experience with site-specific agreements (s106, s278).
* Communication: Excellent written advocacy for reports and submissions.
