Domestic Cleaner / Housekeeper

Location: Potters Bar, EN6

Hours: Initially 2 days per week, with progression to 3 days and potentially full-time based on performance and household needs

Salary: Negotiable

Reporting to: Principal

We are seeking a reliable, discreet, and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaner / Housekeeper to support the smooth running of a private household. This role is ideally suited to someone experienced in similar environments who understands the importance of professionalism, confidentiality, and maintaining exceptional standards.

This is a part-time position initially, with clear progression to additional days and potentially a full-time role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

General cleaning of the property to a consistently high standard
Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and upkeep of all living areas
Cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas, including dishes and organisation
Laundry duties including washing, ironing, folding, and putting away clothing
Changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms
Cleaning bathrooms and sanitary areas
Organising wardrobes and storage areas where required
Monitoring household supplies and reporting when replenishment is needed
Careful handling of delicate items, fabrics, fixtures, and furniture
Occasional household errands, if required
Supporting with general household upkeep and presentation
Carrying out additional tasks as requested by the Principal
Person Specification

Previous experience working in private households preferred (ideally with UHNW individuals)
High level of discretion, professionalism, and respect for privacy
Polite, well-mannered, and presentable
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Honest and trustworthy, with a strong sense of responsibility
Good organisational skills
Requirements

DBS check (required or willingness to obtain)
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential due to location)
Desirable:

Experience working with high-end materials and finishes
Basic understanding of household management
Flexibility to adapt to changing household needs
