We are seeking inspirational tutors in St Helens to support children and young people with SEND. Many pupils have become disengaged from learning and may struggle in a classroom environment, experience anxiety around school, or have needs that are not fully supported in mainstream settings.
As a SEND Specialist Tutor, you will plan and deliver tailored one‑to‑one lessons to bridge gaps in education and raise attainment. You may come from a teaching, tutoring, or therapeutic background. The role focuses on re-engaging pupils in learning, restoring structure to their routine, supporting their development, and helping them transition back into school.
Deliver personalised one‑to‑one lessons
Support pupils with SEND and additional needs
Re-engage pupils with education
Provide structure and routine
Monitor progress and provide weekly feedback
Adapt teaching methods to suit each learner
About You
QTS or equivalent
Experience in UK classroom teaching
Experience working with SEND pupils or challenging behaviour
