How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Mechanical Construction Manager
    MEP Contracting / Building Services

    A leading UK M&E contractor with a strong track record delivering major commercial and high-value building services projects is seeking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Construction Manager to play a key role on a landmark £45m M&E commercial development in the City of London.
    This flagship scheme is scheduled for completion in 2027, offering the opportunity to work on a technically complex, fast-paced project within a high-profile central London environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee and manage the mechanical construction works on a large-scale commercial project
    Ensure delivery is aligned with programme, quality, and safety targets
    Supervise and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
    Monitor installation progress and drive productivity on site
    Support testing, commissioning, and handover processes
    Work closely with project managers, commercial teams, and consultants to manage progress and resolve issues
    Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with design specifications and health & safety standards
    Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    About You

    Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager within M&E / Building Services
    Strong background delivering large-scale commercial projects.
    Experience managing complex mechanical installations and multiple subcontractors
    Strong leadership and site management capabilities
    Good understanding of programme delivery and coordination
    Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
    Must be able to commute to a Central London site
