We’re working in partnership with a fantastic specialist school in Basildon, who are looking for a caring, proactive and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team.
We welcome applicants based in and around Southend, Chelmsford, Billericay, Wickford, Benfleet, Rayleigh, Canvey Island, Stanford-le-Hope and Grays.
About the School
This specialist provision supports pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), with a strong focus on developing each child’s academic progress, independence and confidence within a nurturing and structured environment.
The Role
This is a full-time position within the school’s provision, supporting students with complex needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting learning, communication and emotional development
Promoting independence, engagement and positive social interaction
Assisting the class teacher and wider staff team
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Working collaboratively with families and carers to ensure consistent support
You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience while developing your skills within SEND education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
