Highways Support Officer

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Highways Support Officer to join Cheshire West & Chester Council's Highways Engineering Team on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as a primary contact for highways and traffic-related enquiries

* Respond to enquiries from the public, councillors, and external stakeholders

* Support and guide Network Stewards and junior engineers

* Contribute to the delivery and improvement of highways services

* Work collaboratively within the wider engineering team

About You

* Significant experience within highways or traffic engineering

* Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Experience leading or supporting teams

* Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach
