How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Associate Director Building Surveyor (Prime Residential / Level 3 Surveys)
      
    Woking (London & Home Counties travel) - 4 days WFH and 1 day in office 
    Salary: £70,000–£75,000 + 30–40% bonus above target
      
    A boutique building surveying consultancy operating at the top end of the prime residential market is seeking an Associate or Director to join its close-knit team. The firm specialises in high-value Level 3 surveys, typically across £1m–£50m properties, with instructions reaching £250m+, and has built a strong reputation for quality, speed, and a consultative approach with high-net-worth clients.
      
    You will join a team of three surveyors, taking on a key role in delivering high-quality surveys while supporting the continued growth of the business through strong client relationships and network development. The position offers excellent earning potential, with bonuses tied directly to billings, and is supported by efficient systems including bespoke reporting and voice recognition technology, enabling same-day summaries and reports within five days.
      
    Key Responsibilities:

    Deliver Level 3 (RICS) surveys on prime and super-prime residential properties (core focus of the role)
    Provide clear, concise, and commercially aware reporting to high-net-worth clients
    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, solicitors, buying agents, and introducers
    Contribute to business development through networking and repeat business generation
    Provide same-day verbal feedback and ensure timely turnaround of written reports
    Travel across London and the Home Counties, with occasional international instructions
    Support and mentor junior team members where required
    Assist with refining internal processes, reporting standards, and use of technology
    Contribute to the strategic growth of the business, including identifying new opportunities and service lines
    Maintain a strong understanding of the prime residential market and associated risks

    MRICS qualified Building Surveyor
    Strong experience delivering Level 3 surveys within the residential sector
