How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Fire Door Installer

    £250 per day

    Ongoing long term Contract work

    We are seeking experienced Fire Door Installer /Maintainers to join our team on a sub-contractor basis. This role is not permanent employment but offers ongoing opportunities for skilled professionals to work across a variety of sites.

    The ideal Fire Door Installer candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience in fire door installation, maintenance, and remedial works, with a strong focus on FD30/FD60 fire doors. You’ll be responsible for installing new fire doors and completing remedial works, ensuring all installations meet the highest quality and compliance standards.

    Ongoing fire door and safety training will be provided to enhance your knowledge and skills.

    Fire Door Installer Key Responsibilities

    * Install and maintain FD30/FD60 fire doors to required standards

    * Carry out remedial works and inspections on existing fire doors

    * Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently

    * Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and compliance documentation

    * Ensure all work meets building regulations and fire safety requirements

    * Collaborate with team members to deliver projects on time and to a high standard

    * Complete professional finishes, including sealing and painting where required

    Fire Door Installer Requirements

    * Minimum 4 years’ experience in fire door installation, maintenance, and remedial work

    * Valid CSCS card (essential)

    * Proven background in construction or fire safety

    * Strong understanding of fire door regulations and best practices

    * Full UK driving licence

    * Willingness to travel

    * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team
