How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Join a dynamic print production environment where you'll lead a skilled team and drive operational excellence in fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing.

    Job Summary

    The Print Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring jobs are executed efficiently, on schedule, as specified, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing production staff, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining the operational effectiveness of the production workflow.

    Key Responsibilities

    Production Management

    * Plan, coordinate, and oversee the production process, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to project timelines

    * Review and approve production specifications, including materials, processes, and deadlines

    * Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure finished products meet or exceed company and client expectations

    Team Leadership and Supervision

    * Supervise and support the production team, including the operators of:

    * Large Format Printer

    * Large Format Finisher

    * Small Format Printer/Finisher

    * Manage any temporary staff brought in for production work, ensuring they are properly trained and supervised

    * Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, discuss challenges, and allocate resources effectively

    * Ensure all staff and temporary workers adhere to health and safety standards and are trained in the proper use of equipment

    Vendor and Client Coordination

    * Liaise with account managers to clarify project requirements and expectations

    * Coordinate via the Office Manager in liaising with external suppliers to procure materials and outsourced services at competitive rates

    * Resolve production-related issues or delays, communicating effectively with all stakeholders to minimise impact

    Process and Equipment Management

    * Ensure the optimal operation of production equipment, including the large and small format printers/finishers, through regular maintenance and timely repairs

    * Recommend upgrades or new equipment purchases to improve production efficiency

    * Develop and implement efficient workflows to optimise production output and minimise waste

    Budget and Reporting

    * Prepare regular reports on production metrics, performance, and areas for improvement

    Key Skills and Competencies

    * Comprehensive knowledge of print production techniques, materials, and equipment

    * Strong leadership and people management skills

    * Effective communication and problem-solving abilities

    * Excellent organisational and multitasking capabilities

    * Proficiency in production planning software and relevant digital tools

    * Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to the production environment

    Health & Safety

    The Print Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that all production activities comply with health and safety regulations. This includes the proper use of equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean and hazard-free production environment.
