How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Summary
    We are seeking a Semi Skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks with a focus on quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality metal components and assemblies. The position is ideal for individuals with some welding experience who are eager to expand their expertise in a supportive setting.

    Duties

    Carry out TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal and fabricated components
    Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and fabricate parts according to specifications
    Assist in the cutting, shaping, and fitting of metal components for assembly
    Perform basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills to ensure precision
    Support the assembly process by fitting parts together accurately
    Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment
    Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area and tools
    Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
    Experience

    Previous experience in TIG/Mig welding,
    Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques
    Knowledge of sheet metal work and mechanical assembly processes
    Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints is desirable
    Basic understanding of mechanical principles and maths relevant to fabrication tasks
    Experience working with welding equipment and performing basic maintenance or troubleshooting is advantageous
    This role requires applicants to be organised, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work. Candidates should possess a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adhering to safety regulations
