Are you a commissioning engineer with a passion for travelling? Spending around 60% of your time abroad on customer sites commissioning and servicing our bespoke machinery both in the UK and world wide.
The role requires a proactive logical thinker, working directly with the technical support team and production teams your role will be to commission newly installed machinery but to also assist with product improvements and. When not onsite, you will be assisting with technical support and testing equipment prior to dispatch at our head office in Peterborough. You will need to have a good understanding of control systems predominantly Siemens and Mitsubishi.
The role as a Commissioning Engineer
Commission and Service OEM Foundry Machinery equipment worldwide.
Code & debug machinery during the install process where necessary
Liaise with customers in a courteous and professional manner at all times, keeping them informed of you travel arrangements and requirements while on site.
Complete the required report forms and acceptance protocols within an acceptable time after returning from site.
Follow up on the submitted reports to ensure actions are understood and completed.
Keep up to date with all expenses, reports and latest machine updates through helping test machines while in the office.
Support customers remotely
Ensure Quality & Safety are highest priority wherever you are working.
Help develop the product line with continuous improvement and innovation.
Attributes Required for this Commissioning Engineers role;
Engineering qualification Level 3 minimum
Passport & the ability to travel world wide
Proficient in fault finding, debugging and commissioning with siemens or Mitsubishi software
Previous experience working for an OEM or automated machine environment commissioning and installing machines.
Driving licence
Good customer service skills.
The Benefits of this Commissioning Engineers role;
Basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000 PA – Depending on experience
Basic based on a 37.5 hour week
Stay away bonus of £25.00 per night
Paid overtime at 1.5x basic – Our other engineers are earning between £8,000 - £15,000 in overtime & travel
Company Van or Car
Company credit card to expense, hotels, food, flights etc
25 day holiday plus Christmas closure & bank holidays
Company pension contributions of 7.5%
