A well-established and growing logistics provider is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder with a strong focus on air and sea imports to join their operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-driven individual to play a key role in managing international shipments within a fast-paced environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling import shipments across air and ocean freight, ensuring all customs entries and documentation are processed accurately and efficiently. You will manage shipments from arrival through to final delivery, maintaining excellent communication with clients and stakeholders throughout.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing import shipments via air and sea freight from start to finish
* Completing and submitting import entries in line with customs regulations
* Liaising with airlines, shipping lines, hauliers, and customers
* Coordinating deliveries and ensuring timely movement of goods
* Ensuring all documentation is compliant and accurately maintained
* Troubleshooting and resolving any shipment or clearance issues
* Providing a high level of customer service and regular updates
Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in freight forwarding
* Strong experience in import entry processing (essential)
* Proven background handling air and ocean import shipments
* Good understanding of UK customs procedures and compliance
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
* Full UK driving licence required due to office location
