Design Engineer

We’re looking for a Controls Design Engineer to join our team, working on the development of industrial control systems across a range of projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical detail and the bigger picture—designing systems, working with clients, and seeing projects through from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities as a Control Design Engineer:
* Designing control systems using PLC, SCADA, and embedded system solutions
* Producing detailed hardware and software designs
* Working closely with suppliers and vendors to source the right components
* Preparing project documentation and design packs
* Supporting clients and attending site visits when needed
* Collaborating directly with client representatives to develop and refine designs
* Taking ownership of project engineering tasks, including awareness of project costs and budgets
Requirements for a Controls Design Engineer
* Experience in control systems design (hardware and software)
* Comfortable working with PLC and SCADA systems
* Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, databases)
* Willingness to travel to client sites when required
* Someone who can plan their work, stay organised, and deliver on time
* A problem solver who can think things through and find practical solutions
* High attention to detail and accuracy
