Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly to plant and equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with daily, weekly, and annual schedules.
* Promote and maintain a strong safety culture; ensure all tasks are completed safely.
* Protect product integrity and uphold strict quality standards at all times.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to efficient production performance.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth shift operations.
* Work in a structured, organised manner to meet production and business targets.
* Drive efficiency by reducing waste, improving reliability, and identifying better ways of working.
Qualifications & Experience
* Time‑served apprenticeship and/or recognised electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in an automated production environment.
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
* Competent with data, analysis, and computer systems (Word/Excel).
* Desirable technical skills: PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, instrumentation, temperature control, welding.
