How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An experienced Document Controller is required to support pre-construction and live construction projects. This role focuses on managing, tracking, and maintaining accurate project documentation while supporting project teams.

    Due to location and occasional site visits a full UK driving license will be required.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage document control systems across multiple projects
    Track, log, and distribute drawings and technical documents
    Maintain document registers and ensure strict version control
    Upload/manage files on client systems and Common Data Environments (CDEs)
    Liaise with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors
    Monitor project correspondence and ensure proper documentation storage
    Provide administrative support and assist with document retrieval
    Attend occasional site visits as required

    Requirements

    Proven Document Controller experience within UK construction
    Strong understanding of document control and drawing processes
    Experience with document management systems/CDEs
    Excellent organisation and attention to detail
    Strong communication skills
    Proficient in Microsoft Office
    Ability to manage multiple projects independently
    Full UK driving licence

    Desirable

    Experience in structural, civil, or general construction
    Familiarity with systems such as Viewpoint, Aconex, or Asite
    Pre-construction experience

    Hours

    Monday to Thursday 8am – 5.30pm and Friday 8am – 4pm (1 hour lunch)

    Salary

    £30,000 – £40,000 (DOE)

    Holiday 21 days + bank holidays
