How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    KS1 Teacher - Oldham (Full-Time, Starting May)

    Tradewind are currently recruiting for a committed and inspiring KS1 teacher to join a welcoming primary school on a full-time basis from May. This opportunity is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners, offering excellent support and opportunities for professional development at every stage of your career.

    You will take full responsibility for a Year 1 class from May through to the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to be extended. The schools implements an engaging and balanced curriculum, with a wide range of resources available for teaching staff, whilst priding itself on its nurturing ethos, strong leadership, and collaborative staff team, making it a fantastic environment to grow and thrive.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Experience teaching within KS1 (Year 1 or Year 2), with a strong understanding of the national curriculum
    Knowledge of Read Write Inc. phonics, or a willingness to learn and confidently deliver the programme
    A nurturing and inclusive approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
    Familiarity with schemes such as White Rose Maths and Oxford Reading Tree to support high-quality teaching and learning
    Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to contribute fully to school lifeAll applicants must have QTS and teaching experience in KS1. In addition, you will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and will need to provide 2 excellent references.
