SMT Operative – LED / Lighting Manufacturing (Ashton‑Under‑Lyne)
From £13.69 per hour | Full‑Time Permanent Opportunity
Day Shift and Rotating Early / Late Shift available
Join a well‑established LED and lighting manufacturing facility running two automated SMT production lines. We’re recruiting an experienced SMT Operative / PCB Operator / Electronics Production Operative to support the manufacture of high‑quality light engines.
The Role
* Operating SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment and supporting automated PCB assembly lines
* Manufacturing light engines to exacting quality and build standards
* Completing quality checks, first‑off/last‑off inspections and reporting non‑conformance
* Working from technical and electrical drawings
* Maintaining strong Health & Safety, housekeeping and 6S standards
* Hitting production targets while supporting training of junior team members
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in SMT manufacturing, PCB assembly, or electronics production
* Knowledge of manufacturing quality control and H&S
* Ability to read technical and electrical drawings
* IT literate, GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent)
Desirable: Previous SMT line experience, Lean tools (8D, A3, 5Y), SAP knowledge.
