How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Unqualified Teaching Assistant - SEND Support (Primary Schools)

    Location: Wallasey

    Start Date: ASAP
    Contract Type: Temporary (Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available)
    Pay: £106 per day

    Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting Unqualified Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs within mainstream primary schools in Wallasey.

    These roles are specifically to work with children who require structured, consistent support due to SEND, physical needs, medical needs and behavioural challenges. We are therefore seeking individuals who already have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.

    Suitable backgrounds may include care settings, children's residential services, youth work, medical support roles, specialist education, or similar environments where behaviour management, emotional support and safeguarding are key.

    The Role:

    Provide 1:1 and small group SEND support within mainstream classrooms.

    Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement in learning.

    Assist children with physical or medical needs where required.

    Work proactively alongside teachers to adapt learning and maintain structure.

    Help pupils access the primary curriculum while building confidence and independence.

    Consistency is essential, so we are looking for reliable individuals able to build strong, trusting relationships and provide stable, ongoing support.

    Essential Experience:

    Applicants must have experience supporting children or young people with:

    SEND or additional learning needs

    Behavioural or emotional regulation needs

    Physical or medical needs

    Care or residential support backgrounds

    Applications without relevant SEND/support experience will not be shortlisted.

    Application Requirements

    All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, reference checks and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).

    Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history and explain any gaps. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.

    All pay rates include 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position with potential for permanent opportunities.
