How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Pumping Solutions, Spalding, PE11 3SA (Work is mainly site based)

    Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    Who We Are Looking For:

    We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical and mechanical background and thrive in a dynamic environment involving project installations, servicing, and repairs.

    Key Responsibilities as a Multi-Skilled Engineer:

    Work collaboratively with team members or independently to complete tasks to a high standard.
    Liaise effectively with managers to ensure job progress is communicated clearly and work is completed on time.
    Carry out regular installations and planned maintenance on a wide range of pumping applications.
    Uphold and promote the company’s health and safety in all working environments.
    Ensure all jobs are completed to meet company quality standards.
    Lead by example and serve as a role model within the team.
    Complete all required job-related documentation and reports.
    What we’re looking for to excel in this role, you should be:        

    Open-minded and willing to learn new aspects of the role.
    Confident in working both independently and as part of a team.
    Self-driven, motivated, and enthusiastic about your work.

    An experienced electrical and mechanical control engineer with proven qualifications and practical experience.

    Comfortable with travel and occasional overnight stays for project work.
