Design Engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced Design Engineer to work with our clients’ Design and Specialist team. Creating, adapting and managing existing products NPI and NPD plans in accordance with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and creating manufacturing process routes, methods, and technical instructions to manufacture new products. To collaborate with other engineers and supply chain to define trial and production tooling, inspection processes using the latest metrology systems and develop automation and programs to produce and finish components. To use a structured approach to solve problems, finding root cause and implementing and sustaining robust fixes. To validate new product for use in production engines, Method Verification, attaining PPAP approval, demonstrating product quality and rate.

Ideally with an engineering or other relevant discipline degree/HND/HNC and previous experience working in a manufacturing engineering role. Strong analytical skills and a proven record of technical problem-solving along. Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills and feel comfortable presenting to varied audiences. Good team working skills are essential.
