Job Title: Vehicle Prepper
Location: Coalville, Leicestershire
Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum Dependant on experience/qualifications
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join a busy and well-established automotive bodyshop in Coalville. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in vehicle preparation and paint support, looking for a stable, long-term role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare vehicles for paint including masking, sanding, filling, and priming
* Carry out vehicle prep, paint preparation, and surface correction
* Remove scratches, dents, and minor imperfections prior to painting
* Work closely with Paint Sprayers to ensure a high-quality finish
* Use bodyshop tools such as sanders, polishers, and prep equipment
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Prepper / Prep Technician / Bodyshop Prepper
* Strong knowledge of sanding, masking, priming, and prep techniques
* Experience within a bodyshop, accident repair centre, or automotive workshop
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* High attention to detail and quality
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in polishing, buffing, and finishing
* Previous support to Paint Sprayers
