We're looking for candidates who excel in diverse supported living settings, who have a caring and compassionate nature and enjoy working with adults with learning disabilities and autism.
What skills and experience are we looking for in candidates?
Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism & complex needs
Minimum 12 months experience working for a social care agency or 6 months in a permanent support role
Excellent communication skills
Experience supporting individuals displaying behaviours that may challenge
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Dedicated, honest and reliableMain responsibilities:
Provide support and assistance to individuals with physical and learning disabilities
Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
Daily tasks will often include personal care, meal preparation and manual handling
Accompanying clients to medical appointments and social outings
Monitor and report any changes in clients' behaviour or health conditions
