How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you an experienced Welder, Fabricator or Plant Mechanic looking to take the next step in your career?

Do you want to pass on your industry knowledge while enjoying excellent benefits, job security, and a strong work-life balance?

This leading Training Provider is looking to appoint an Instructor in Plant Mechanics to join its team at its impressive Bircham Newton campus in Norfolk. With funded teaching qualifications, a commitment to continuous professional development, and outstanding onsite facilities - including a free gym, subsidised coffee shop and free lunch - this is a genuinely exceptional opportunity to transition from the workshop into training and education.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality practical and theoretical training to both apprentice and commercial learners across core plant maintenance disciplines including welding, bench fitting and health & safety. You will assess learner competence, provide structured feedback, contribute to the development of training programmes, and support learners in building the safe working practices and technical knowledge needed to thrive in the construction industry.

*Supporting apprentice and commercial learners in developing safe working practices
*Assessing learner competence through practical activities and knowledge checks
*Maintaining a safe, engaging and inclusive workshop learning environment
*Contributing to the development and improvement of training programmes and materials
*Progressing to deliver additional subjects aligned to your skills and competence
*Participating in open days and employer engagement activities
*Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and safeguarding

    The Person:
*Minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant discipline
*Specialist licence to practise (CPCS, NPORS, City & Guilds or equivalent)
*Relevant industry experience in construction or plant maintenance
*Strong verbal, written and organisational skills
