How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Buyer, £35K - £45K salary guide, Milton Keynes
    * Newly created role for a Buyer, Purchasing / Procurement Professional.
    * Salary guide of £35,000 - £45,000 + private healthcare + wider benefits.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer / Purchasing / Procurement Professional to take ownership of sourcing and purchasing engineered parts and components within a commercial vehicle operation.
    This is a newly created key buying / purchasing / procurement role within the business, ensuring the right parts are available at the right time, cost, and quality.
    Your background as a Buyer / Purchasing / Procurement professional:
    * Previous experience in a Buyer / Procurement / Purchasing role.
    * A background in buying / purchasing / procuring components / parts in the engineering, automotive, commercial vehicle, plant equipment, or similar type of environments would be advantageous.
    * Good negotiation and supplier management skills.
    * Organised, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities.
    * Experience using IT based inventory / or similar IT business systems.
    * Confident communicator and team player.
    Buyer / Purchasing / Procurement Professional Responsibilities:
    * Source and procure components and engineered parts for commercial vehicles (e.g. axles, braking systems, suspension, lighting etc…)
    * Build and manage relationships with UK and international suppliers.
    * Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms.
    * Monitor stock levels and work closely with internal teams on demand planning.
    * Ensure parts meet required quality and regulatory standards.
    * Resolve supplier issues including delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
    * Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes.
