How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Undertake basic plumbing works including valves, taps and sanitary systems

    * Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with training, competency and qualifications

    ⚔ Reactive Maintenance

    * Liaise with the client or site contact on arrival

    * Assess faults and Health & Safety considerations

    * Complete repairs where safe and within competency

    * Keep the client and Head Office informed through to completion

    šŸ“‹ Administration & Client Experience

    * Produce clear, accurate engineers’ reports to support follow‑up actions and purchasing

    * Manage company tools, resources and housekeeping standards

    * Represent Atlas professionally on site, building strong client relationships

    * Recommend improvements, escalate issues appropriately and report opportunities to the Customer Account Manager

    šŸŽÆ About You

    * Proven experience in building services maintenance with a strong Mechanical and Electrical background

    * Confident delivering both PPM and reactive maintenance

    * Comfortable working independently while supporting others when needed

    * Professional, customer‑focused and committed to safe working practices

    šŸŽ What You’ll Get

    * Salary up to £45,000

    * 40‑hour working week

    * Permanent, resident role in Basingstoke

    * Varied, technically engaging work

    * Desirable: IOSH (or equivalent), 18th Edition, 2391 Test & Inspect, HNC Building Services, NVQ Level 2 Plumbing & Heating, C&G Level 3 Heating & Ventilation

    Atlas recognises that not everyone will have every qualification listed, and we value practical experience alongside formal training.
