How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Head of Manufacturing (6 Month FTC)

    £60,000 - £70,000 (Pro Rata)

    Are you a Senior Manufacturing professional with strong systems and MRP experience, looking for a highly autonomous role where you can make a significant impact in a growing, specialist industry?

    This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established, expanding business on a 6-month fixed-term contract, where you will take full ownership of manufacturing systems and play a key role in driving operational improvement and future scalability.

    The company are continuing to grow within a niche market and are investing in their processes to support long-term expansion. You will be brought in as a specialist to review, improve and implement best-in-class production systems, giving you the platform to truly put your own stamp on the business.

    This role offers a high level of autonomy, working closely with senior leadership to deliver tangible improvements across planning, material control and overall operational performance.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant or senior Manufacturing professional looking to make a big impact within a growing business, where your expertise will directly shape future operations.

    The Role:

    Full review of production, planning and stock control processes
    Leading the selection and implementation of an MRP system
    Working closely with senior leadership to drive business improvements
