How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Manager

    Are you an engineer who has worked on the end of end development of products, that is looking for a move into project nanagement? Then this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

    Our client develops bespoke subsea systems and instruments to meet customer requirements across offshore markets including Energy, Ocean Science, Defence, and Offshore Renewables.

    They are seeking an experienced Engineer who is keen to move into Project Management and take ownership of delivering complex, custom engineering projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with customers, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and gradually building formal project management responsibility alongside their engineering background. They will provide full training and support with formal Project Management qualifications.

    You will be involved in the full lifecycle of low-volume, high-value bespoke product development, with structured support to develop your project management capability.

    Working closely with customers, senior Project Managers and technical leads, you will progressively take responsibility for planning, coordinating, and delivering engineering projects to time, cost, and quality objectives.

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    Essential

    Background as an Engineer within a product development or engineering environment
    Desire to progress into a Project Management career path
    Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    Good communication skills, with confidence engaging across technical and non-technical audiences
    Experience working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
    Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work

    Desirable

    Exposure to coordinating engineering projects or work packages
    Experience of bespoke or low-volume product development
    Experience working with customers or supporting external stakeholders
    Understanding of engineering lifecycle, design, test, and production activities
    Awareness of basic project management principles, tools, or methodologies

    Qualifications

    Degree qualified (BSc / BEng or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline
    Willingness to work towards formal Project Management qualifications (e.g. APM PMQ, PRINCE2) - support provided
