How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking a Multi-skilled Engineer to join a leading company in the FMCG industry based in Liverpool. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of engineering and manufacturing production.

Focused on innovation and operational excellence within their industry they've recently had major investment including a new state of the art manufacturing site.

    Description

    You will be required to carry out daily mechanical and electrical maintenance on machinery and production equipment

    * Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime

    * Complete scheduled maintenance tasks safely, to standard, and on time

    * Identify and implement engineering improvements that enhance reliability, performance, and efficiency

    * Support production during shift with a proactive, solutions-focused approach

    * Communicate clearly with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure effective coordination and decision-making

    * Execute planned and preventive maintenance activities in line with the maintenance plan to maximise asset reliability and longevity

    * Support proactive improvement activities, identifying recurring issues and contributing to root cause analysis and reliability improvements

    * Collaborate closely with Operations and Manufacturing teams to prioritise maintenance activities that support production continuity

    3 weekly rotation shift pattern:

    6am-2pm

    2pm-10pm

    8am - 4.30pm

    Profile

    A successful Multi-skilled Engineer should have:

    NVQ level 3
    FMCG - food manufacturing experience, working to BRC
    Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
    Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems efficiently.
    Familiarity with health and safety standards and procedures.
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    A proactive and detail-oriented approach to tasks.Job Offer
