How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Junior Accounts / Finance Administrator

    📍 Location: Welham Green (with occasional travel to other sites)
    💼 Type: Full-Time, Office-Based (no option for hybrid/ remote working)

    We are looking for a motivated and organised Junior Accounts / Finance Administrator to join our busy team. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in finance, accounts, or administration. Full training will be provided, including on our internal systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    Accounts & Finance Administration

    Check supplier invoices against orders.
    Enter supplier invoices into Sage and relevant spreadsheets.
    Prepare and price customer invoices ready for sending.
    Process card terminal payments and associated admin.
    Support credit control by chasing outstanding payments.
    Log payment receipts into the accounts system.

    General Office Administration

    Handle and contest parking and traffic charge notices.
    Answer calls and assist with delivery queries/booking deliveries.
    General scanning, filing, and admin tasks.
    Help maintain delivery trackers and book staff training.
    Send SMS delivery time slots to clients.
    Track storage charges and update clients accordingly.
    Mark completed deliveries as closed on the client database.
    Assist with client account emails during busy periods.
    Make follow-up calls to retail clients to schedule deliveries.

    Skills & Experience

    Essential ✅

    Strong written English and confident email communication
    Good organisational skills
    Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word & Excel
    Professional and friendly telephone manner Beneficial (not essential) ⭐

    Accounts admin, finance admin, or PA experience
    Familiarity with Sage (training provided!)

    Role Requirements

    On-site role - not remote due to the nature of the office
    Working hours: 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm, Mon-Fri (includes a paid 30‑minute lunch break)
    Occasional Saturdays during busy periods (rota-based)
    Full-time position with an initial training period
    28 days annual leave, including bank holidays
    Availability during school holidays is required (leave allowed, but coordinated with the team)
    Main base: Welham Green Office
    Occasional visits to other sites - own car helpful but not essential (we're opposite Welham Green Station 🚆)
