How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer
    Glasgow / Stirling Area
    Up to £55,000 + Door-to-Door + Callout + Package

    I'm working with a leading air conditioning & refrigeration contractor known for excellent staff retention and a strong pipeline of commercial work, and they're looking for a Mobile AC & Refrigeration Engineer to join their team.

    The Role

    You'll be carrying out service, maintenance and breakdowns across a range of commercial sites, with plenty of variety day-to-day.

    Service, maintenance and fault finding on AC & refrigeration systems
    Working on commercial environments, including hospitality and hotels
    Covering Glasgow, Stirling and surrounding areas
    Client-facing role, representing the business on site
    Mobile role with door-to-door travel paid
    Participating in a callout rota of 1 in 4, with a £150 standbyWhat You'll Need

    Experience in AC & refrigeration service and maintenance
    Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
    F-Gas (2079) - essential
    Ability to work independently and manage your own workloadThe successful Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer will be on up to £55,000, depending on experience + door-to-door travel pay + callout + van + phone/allowance + iPad + overtime opportunities + 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
