How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Religious Education Teacher - Northampton
    Location: Northampton
    Start Date: September 2026 or April 2026
    Contract: Full-Time | Contract or Permanent
    Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

    Are you passionate about Religious Education and enjoy helping students think deeply about faith, ethics, and different worldviews? Do you want to work in a Northampton school that values RE as a core subject and supports pupils' personal, moral, and cultural development?

    We are working with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Northampton that is looking for an enthusiastic RE Teacher to join their team from September 2026 or April 2026. This is a full-time role, available as either a contract or permanent position, giving you the chance to make a real difference in students' learning and grow professionally.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    Teaching Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, with some schools offering KS5 opportunities
    Planning and delivering lessons that encourage curiosity, reflection, and understanding of different beliefs
    Supporting students of all abilities, helping them engage with challenging topics in a safe and inclusive environment
    Collaborating with the RE or Humanities department to develop lessons, resources, and enrichment activities
    Encouraging students to think critically and respectfully about the world around themWho We're Looking For:

    Qualified RE teachers (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge
    Confident classroom practitioners who can manage behaviour positively and create an engaging learning environment
    Flexible, reflective, and approachable teachers who enjoy working as part of a team
